In this workshop we will be covering building a positive credit history, reducing your credit utilization, and dealing with delinquent debt.

Tirsza Brooks is the Community Manager responsible for the financial health strategy in Irving and Grand Prairie, TX. As a local ambassador for Chase, she is tasked with building trust in underserved communities and nurturing relationships with key community leaders, nonprofit partners and small businesses to bridge the gap at the local level. Tirsza hosts financial health workshops, facilitates non-profit partnerships and offers community programming. She is helping to advance racial equity by supporting Black, Hispanic and Latino communities with tools and resources to help improve their financial wellbeing. With over 10 years of strong leadership and business development experience in the financial services industry spanning across Wealth Management, Merchant Services and Retail Banking, Tirsza brings an abundance of knowledge that includes Real Estate and Small Business Lending knowledge. Tirsza is passionate about the work she is doing, helping to close the racial wealth gap in underserved communities. She currently serves on the board of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.

In this workshop we will be covering understanding your credit score, checking your credit score and reports, getting started with credit and protecting your credit.

Maria Hazan-Cohen is a Community Manager in Dallas, Texas for Community & Business Development. She is a local ambassador for Chase whose job is to build and nurture relationships with key community leaders, nonprofit partners and small businesses at the neighborhood level. Maria hosts financial health workshops, facilitates non-profit partnerships and offers community programming. She is helping to advance racial equity by supporting Black and Latinx communities with tools and resources to help them improve their financial wellbeing.
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Maria has held a number of positions including Branch Manager, Relationship Banker and Assistant Branch Manager. Prior to this role, Maria served as Banking Center Manager for Chase at the Gus Thomasson and Town East. She is currently a member of Adelante, BOLD, Women on the Move and PRIDE, and serves on the board of Youth Guidance Dallas Advisory Council.
