Washington, D.C. – SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc. affirms its support of the trilateral trade agreement between the United States, Mexico, and Canada (USMCA). The new trade agreement replaces the outdated NAFTA with significant improvements in our trade and investment relationships with Mexico and Canada. On behalf of our members and supporters across the country we urge Congress to ratify USMCA.
Ratification of this agreement is important in strengthening trade and commerce among our regional partners. In addition, USMCA promotes transparency and accountability when developing and implementing regulations, increased labor standards and worker representation, intellectual environmental obligations, and fair market accessibility.
Support for the USMCA agreement is in the best interest of the North American economy. The ratification of USMCA provides tangible economic benefits and important humanitarian efforts that will impact our families, our communities, and our businesses. We strongly urge you to support a bipartisan ratification of USMCA.
