Joining the SER National Board are Rick Gomez, AT&T and Craig Baker, SER-Jobs for Progress, Inc. Roger C. Rocha, Jr., Chairman of the Board, SER National, said, “We are fo11unate to welcome these talented individuals as we continue to grow our organization and strengthen the communities we serve across the country.”

Rick Gomez is Assistant Vice President – Human Resource Services, AT&T, Dallas, Texas. Rick has more than 20 years of progressive human resources leadership experience, which includes Executive Director for Workforce Diversity and Inclusion, Director, Merger Integration
(wireless), as well as work in external affairs, legal and corporate development. He is the former Director – Mergers and Acquisitions, responsible for developing strategies/solutions to transition human capital to AT&T.

Craig Baker, Executive Director, SER-Jobs for Progress, Inc., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, has served in his current positon since 2011. Craig brings years of workforce development experience as COO and Development Director at the Greater New Bedford Workforce Investment Board in Massachusetts and corporate experience as Director, Business Development, NaturaLawn of America and Vice President, Corporate Education at InterPay, Inc.

Mary Chavez had the good fortune to be born into one of the oldest and best-known families in Santa Fe.

She’s the 16th generation of her clan to live in New Mexico. Among her five siblings are at least two others well-known in the community: Fabian Chavez III was the longtime head of the city’s Parks Division and Joey Chavez, an actor and playwright, is the chairman of the drama department at the New Mexico School for the Arts.

Mary Chavez, like her brothers and sister, was raised to serve the city of her birth. The senior vice president and manager at First National Santa Fe Bank on the Plaza, she has spent decades as a member of various nonprofit boards, helping them to raise money for programs and secure capital outlay funds from the state Legislature.

Democrat Kamala Harris (b. October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California) has served in her current position as the 32nd Attorney General of California since January 5, 2011. She survived a contentious and crowded primary campaign to secure the Democratic nomination for attorney general on June 8, 2010, winning with 33 percent of the vote. She went on to win the general election on November 2, 2010.

Kamala Devi Harris is an American lawyer, politician, and member of the Democratic Party, who has been the 32nd and current Attorney General of California since 2011.

On October 13, 2016, at SER National’s Board of Directors Meeting in Las Vegas, NV, SER had the honor of a visit from Mr. Corey Sanders, the Chief Operating Officer for MGM Resorts International. Mr. Sanders addressed the SER National Board members and staff during his visit. MGM and SER are working together in a partnership to provide essential services to communities. MGM will continue to support SER in our endeavors.
